Spring - (March - May)

Spring in Estonia brings variable weather. The weather in March is still very much winter weather. Showers are followed by snow and winds. April is when the true rising of temperatures starts, averaging in the mid 40'sF in the capital city. Ice on sea, rivers and lakes begin to melt. By May, temperatures start to rise up to the high 50's. Drizzling rain is common and the evenings are still pretty cold, so make sure to dress accordingly and have some waterproof clothes.

Spring is also the time when nature starts awakening. It is a perfect time for bird-watching and observing mass bird migration with artic terns, wagtails, golden eagles, warblers and orioles to name a few. With over 2,000 miles of coastline, there are plenty of beaches and coastal walks to savor as you experience the warm welcome of Spring.
